FAQs

What is ReZone?
ReZone (acquired by Shovels) is the first nationwide zoning change database. We track all City Council & Planning Department decisions nationwide and turn them into structured, searchable data. Our mission is to make zoning changes more transparent and accessible to everyone.
Why Track City Council & Planning Departments?
Our Cities are not shaped by big decisions in Washington, but by thousands of little decisions made every day by City Councils and Planning Departments. These decisions give us a lens into where urban America is heading - and, just as importantly, where it's not.
What Cities can I choose?
All of them. We track all Cities and Counties nationwide. You can choose any 5, 10, or 20 cities/counties you want. If you need more than 20, just contact us and we can set you up with a custom plan.
What decisions are included?
We track all real estate-related decisions, including zoning changes, land use approvals, variances, special permits, and more.
How do I get started?
To verify that you are a City Planner, please contact us to book a meeting. We'll give you a quick tour of the product and set you up.
